About Us

The Richert Family Real Estate Story

Helping Fox Valley families navigate life's housing transitions with clarity and confidence.

Our Approach

Real Estate Guidance Built on Trust

We believe the best real estate guidance starts with understanding what matters most to your family. Every conversation, every recommendation, and every decision is shaped by what is right for you — not what is fastest or easiest for us.

🤝

Relationships Over Transactions

We take the time to understand your family's goals, concerns, and timeline before anything else. Our role is to advise — not to pressure.

Our Home

Rooted in the Fox Valley

This is where we live, where we have raised our family, and where we have built our careers. The Fox Valley is not just a market we serve — it is a community we are part of. We know the neighborhoods, the schools, the local rhythms, and the people who call this area home.

When we sit down with a family in Aurora, Geneva, Batavia, Naperville, or any of the surrounding communities, we bring more than market data. We bring a genuine understanding of what it means to live here and the personal connections that make a real difference when it matters most.

About Laura

Laura Richert, OTR/L

Laura Richert has been a licensed Occupational Therapist since 1995, spending more than 30 years working directly with patients every day at leading Chicago-area medical centers including Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Northwestern Hospital in downtown Chicago, Edward Hospital in Naperville, and Mercy Hospital in Aurora.

Every single day of her career has been spent helping real people navigate the physical challenges of daily life — understanding their limitations, finding practical solutions, and empowering them to live as safely and independently as possible. There is no one more qualified to walk into a family’s home and know exactly what needs to change.

But beyond her clinical expertise, Laura has an extraordinary way with people. Patients who have been anxious and overwhelmed often look up when she walks into the room and say, “I’m good now that you are here.” That is the gift she brings to every family she works with.

Through Richert Family Services — Aging in Place, Laura conducts comprehensive in-home evaluations, develops personalized safety plans, coordinates home modifications, and provides ongoing support to families navigating the challenges of helping aging parents stay safely at home.

And right now, she is navigating this same journey with her own parents — which means when she sits across from your family, she brings not just 30 years of expertise, but lived understanding of exactly what you are going through.
